Pebbls
We believe every project is a journey. So, when Pebbls—the ultimate slow-travel tracking app—approached us to create a promotional video, we knew we had to capture something more than just “features.” We needed to capture the feeling of adventure.
Adventure in every “Pebbl”
Pebbls isn’t your average travel app. It’s a platform for adventurers—bikepackers, sailors, hikers, and van-lifers—to leave a digital trail of “Pebbls” (memories, photos, and videos) across an interactive map.
The brief was clear: create a 30-second promo that felt whimsical and appreciative of nature, but with an upbeat energy that makes you want to pack a bag and head out the door.
Check out the Pebbls website and grab the app on iOS and Android.
The Creative Process
To bring the Pebbls story to life, we focused on three key pillars:
-
The Emotional Arc: We steered away from the typical “fast-paced” tech ad. Instead, we leaned into a “whimsical wonder” aesthetic—focusing on the beauty of the landscape and the small, meaningful moments that make slow travel so special.
-
The Soundscape: We used a bright, rhythmic acoustic track. By blending finger-picked guitar with a steady, driving pulse, we created a sense of “forward motion” that feels optimistic and sun-drenched, avoiding any hint of melancholy.
-
Narrative Clarity: In just 30 seconds, we show how easy it is to transform a route into a story. From the first “Pebbl” dropped to the final interactive map, the video highlights how the app stays out of the way so you can stay in the moment.
Why it works
Travel marketing is often about the destination. But for Pebbls, the story is about the path taken. Our goal was to make the viewer feel the scale of the world while showing how personal and intimate their journey can be when tracked through the app.
