This is our very own promotional video. I’ve been working on it, on and off for a few months when I got an hour here and there… For some reason it’s particularly difficult to create a video for ourselves. When it comes to clients, it’s usually quite simple – we see what they need, what message they’re getting across, absorb their brand and put out a video based on those things. When you’re creating for yourself, there’s too much freedom and a tendency to cover too many bases. Anyhow, that said, we’re very happy with the piece….
What I really wanted to get across, and what I hope does come across, is that we can create video with extremely varied styles. A lot of our competitors can offer one style and perhaps vary it slightly whereas we offer everything from cartoons and 3D renderings to editing live video or filming a whiteboard. As the image above shows, we can do weird, random and absurd or we go in the opposite direction and produce something corporate, crisp and clean.
There was two out-takes. I had Hulk Hogan riding a giant kitty on the moon to help illustrate that ‘With animation, your imagination is the limit’. Also, I intended to have Albert Einstein slay 3 or 4 ‘bad guys’ but ended up only using Darth Vader. One that got cut was Jason from Friday the 13th. The scene ended up looking a tad too scary and a little gory.
