Lost Marble Media produces demo videos to help explain various concepts, businesses and products. I work out of a home office in the UK and have been in business for close to a decade. Initially, I worked for Durham University filming and editing live events but eventually transitioned into creating explanation videos for businesses to use on the web and TV. My wife also contributes to the creative process, helping with script writing and editing.
Hi, I’m Lee…I grew up in Durham in the UK. About 20 years ago as a nerdy, young wrestling fan, I would connect two VCR’s and create compilations of hard hitting grappling moves and set them to rock music. Eventually I moved on to animation, using several Amiga’s to create alternative Road Runner cartoons (where Wile E. Coyote would catch, kill and devour Road Runner!).
Jumping ahead quite a few years, I moved into creating some very cheesy short films and music videos (which is where I first started using the brand name Lost Marble) before starting a business course that lead me to Durham University Business School. While studying there, I was picked up by the University to film and edit live events and lectures for the distance learning department. As interest grew in web video, I decided to venture back in to animation and special effects and have done so ever since.
These days, I work happily in my home office which is full of Lucha Libre masks, retro medical posters and models and various musical instruments. Being reasonably obsessed with motion graphics and web video, I love my job.
